So it was an art movie from a country which doesn’t have much of an international presence I guess, sorry to be so vague, I’m remembering like set in Peru or something but might be way off.
Woman living in rural village gets her house taken over by a gang of men who I think one by one she kills, one of which she beheads early in the movie and takes his head on a public bus to the local police, maybe like a horse or some animal gets on the bus.
It’s like cult classiccy vibes like kill Bill but set in a rural country somewhere and with subtitles ahaha
“Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts” (2017), also known as “Marlina si pembunuh dalam empat babak”
Quotes from these IMDb reviews for the movie:
“When Marlina rides on horseback on the sandy road, with the cut-off head of her rapist under her arms, the film enters almost surreal territory.”
“”Marlina” is a feminist film in the same way that Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” movies or “Mad Max: Fury Road” are feminist films:”
