Help with finding an old film I cannot find

Ok, so I don’t remember a lot about it, but here it goes:

it’s a comedy about a group of teenage people who renovate an old house to make it a nightclub or something like a nightclub.
I remember they need more people to help and they ask a stoner to help by promising him all the grass he’ll ever want – but when he gets there he is given a lawnmower and shown to the yard to cut the grass.

I think it’s an 80’s-90’s movie but I’m not sure.
