Very vague memory of this one. Only recollections are a blue, humanoid alien is going after the protagonists. It attacks by throwing these little alien (embryo?) discs that look a little like pale, round starfish IIRC? They latch on to whomever they hit and tendrils start to either throttle them or go into their skin.
One scene, the protagonists somehow get hold of one of these embryo things and when they put it in water, it comes to life and swims around with it’s tendrils,
I realise this sounds a bit like ‘The Faculty’ but this must have been 80/70s?
Edit: I seem to remember it was called something like ‘Alien Attack’, though it doesn’t come up in such a search.
“Without Warning” (1980), also known as “Alien Shock” or “Alien Warning”?

Quote from the above Wikipedia page:
“they are killed by flying jellyfish-like creatures, which penetrate their skin with needle-tipped tentacles.”
