Horror japanese(?) movie from the 90’s/early 00’s

Hi, I remember when I was a kid watching this brief scene from a movie where they showed first the close-up of the bloodied face a man in this bright white space. A few seconds later, it cut abruptly to show a whole-body shot of a (what I assume is) japanese woman sitting on her knees with a smile on her face while wearing imperial japanese robes, which I can’t recall if it was in the same white space where the bloodied man was. Then finally it cut abruptly again to show, with the camera on his side and showing only from the chest up, this man laying down on (I think) in the same white space the bloodied man was, only this man was skinned from the neck down and with a cloth placed on his head (but the cloth was small we were still able to see most of his face), I remember he stood still for a couple of seconds until he kind of had a spasm, showing he was still alive (maybe). At this point the 10 year old me was absolutely terrifyed and jumped channels quickly, but the memory of that movie still remain a good 15 years later.

Considering the time I watched it, I can’t really comment on the quality of the movie with accuracy, but I would say it’s probably from the 90’s/early 00’s, with 2005 being the limit. I can’t say either what kind of music/sound it had because, while I remember these scenes being very quiet or even complete silent, I probably had the volume down to not wake up the whole house.

Thanks in advance
