This movie is from the 50’s or 60’s, I think. It’s told from the memories of one of the grown children. It’s about a family whose father has an old war injury where his middle finger sticks straight up and everybody laughs all the time. He makes them sing silly songs that he makes up, like in the morning when he wakes them and in the car going places. His grown daughter (I think) is the one recounting their childhood. She loves her father dearly and grows to look back on what she thought was embarrassing or silly with love and gratitude for all that her dad gave the family as they were growing up. I loved this movie and found it very charming. I thought it was called, “The Measure Of A Man”, but that’s the wrong title. Help!!!
