suspense film from early 70’s I saw as a kid

I watched a creepy suspense / murder (?) film on TV on a Sunday afternoon as a kid about 1975. I was way too young to understand it. I remember only a few scenes but they stuck with me and I would love to know more about the film. I assume it was a feature film from a few years prior but may possibly have been made for TV.
American film set in New York or similar about a wealthy family, young adult sisters, I really don’t remember the plot but it was very creepy, one woman being threatened. I remember a drive through a forest valley in autumn and the woman escaping or being left.
